Little bummed with the answer about aunt May. Thought it’d be interesting if she had been left behind post snap and how she’d react to Peter’s sudden return all these years later. I was also kind of figuring that was why they were hinting in the first trailer that there was something going on between Happy and May while Peter looked on in confusion. Makes sense that Peter would vanish, May gets left behind, Happy checks in on May from time to time because Tony took responsibility for Peter, a genuine relationship formulates over time, Peter returns and now this is something new has has to deal with missing out on in the wake of his absence. I dunno. Oh well.

We don't necessarily know what order the spidey suits are being used in. Don't want to think too deep into why or why not that might be yet.

    Surprised no one is mentioning

why would nick fury bring in mysterio, let alone trust him? Is he just that desperate to reach the multi verse? Did mysterio use his powers on fury to make him believe he is good? Is there a possibility they make his background that of a shield scientist/psych person? Is Nick fury himself an illusion and that's why they wouldn't give him any backup?

I’m also uncomfortable with the answer about New Yorkers just moving on from the snap like “eh whatever” because that’s what I was worried about. It’s not something I want them to gloss over. It’s a big deal.

I mean if any city is gonna shrug off weird stuff it's nyc haha, especially mcu nyc. but yeah I get we can't spend too much time on it, but hopefully it's handled well that it feels like there's a weight to it.

Yep this. After what they did with the Mandarin in IM3 and Vulture in SM:H, it seems clear to me that they’re open to maintaining characterization while messing around significantly with their villains’ backgrounds.

I imagine that there will be at least a few more wrinkles besides “he’s lying about all of it” for a character this well known by fans (especially bc it seems like they’ve shown off a pretty significant amount of the film so far).

Plot twist: The movie is 5 hours long and everything in the trailer happens in the first 30 minutes

Eh, the last thing I want is dealing with the aftermath.

The time jump worked for Endgame's story, & I wouldn't have wanted to waste time in that 3-hr film explaining how society got back to normal. But, the actual aftermath of something like that, "realistically" speaking... breaks the world way too much for me to want it seriously addressed. Either these films are broken for years to come in a super tedious way... Or, we hand wave it away w/ a throwaway gag.

The only aftermath that's worth the screen time for me is the emotional impact on characters of losing Tony (or whoever). Even Mysterio talking about the snap, while definitely a lie, is pushing it a little for me.

On a different, more positive note, related to the character but not really film... I saw this Jen Bartel Spider-Man & just love it. New phone wallpaper.

I hope that they aren't substituting Tony Stark for Uncle Ben. Such a pivotal moment that cannot be reimagined.

they alluded to uncle ben I feel like in Civil War without getting into it. I would say Tony Stark is more like a Captain Stacy moment or something. just a tragedy in his life that will resonate

I don't think so 'cause the Uncle Ben thing is largely about Peter being, y'know, responsible for it. Tony made his own decision.

Though, hey, filmmakers... Perfect opportunity to actually have some dialogue about Ben...

Has there been any dialogue about Ben? I don't think so. I'm just hoping that it isn't, I don't think Marvel would allow that. I'm just dubious.

I don't think there's been any direct dialogue, just hints toward it in the conversation with Peter and Tony in Civil War, very very loose though. and then I feel like in Homecoming they just hint to the feeling of a loss in some scene with Peter and Aunt May. I get they didn't want to do the Uncle Ben scene again, but I feel like in Far From Home it would be nice for Peter to actually talk about him when dealing with his grief maybe.

So now we can finally have Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone show up in these movies

Along with Ryan Reynolds of course

There’s also the line Peter says (I think it’s to Ned if I remember correctly) in Homecoming about his aunt May and “all that stuff she’s gone through”.

I'm pretty sure Miles already exists in the MCU since Aaron Davis (the prowler) mentions having a nephew in Homecoming. Also, I bet they'll do what they did in the Ultimate Universe and kill off peter and then Miles will become spiderman.

Yeah, I hope Glover returns at some point. I doubt we would see MM soon anyway given how young Tom Hollands portrayal is.

Course we do, it's such a pivotal moment in Spider-Man history. I don't want to see him die again, just some sort of call back to it and the struggles that it has caused Peter and Aunt May.

well if they go by Ultimate comics he does die as a kid. as much as I don't want to lose tom Holland, I would also love to see that done live action and he could really sell it well. think like spider-man 4 he dies and most of the movie is introducing miles. but then again, Spider-Verse kind of did all that and the Miles story pretty perfect. so idk.
