Trailer is super good, can't wait. Really love how they're handling the post-Endgame implications here
I imagine they’ll keep Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. It’d work perfectly with him breaking the forth wall about how he was owned by Fox along with the X-Men and now the Mouse own both, the jokes and gags practically write themselves. It’ll be enough fan service for the Deadpool fans to hoot and holler at the MCU movies and it’ll keep that MCU money train rolling.
True. Luckily I don't remember too much from the first trailer. Interesting to see how different the marketing is between these trailers and the Endgame ones.
Just want to add that every scene with Happy in this trailer brings a smile to my face. Hope we get a good amount of him in this one, pretty funny scene at the very end there. "I work WITH Spider-Man, not FOR him"
really really enjoyed this trailer. I was excited for the movie, but seeing how it moves on from Endgame just hit all the right points for me. already got my tickets. I've seen every Spider-Man movie opening night, pumped it's a Tuesday this time haha.
Also, I already hate this multiverse talk. Please don't try to outdo the Infinity saga. Please don't try to multiverse the X-Men. Please don't do any of that bullshit. I was hoping Endgame being out would put that noise to rest, like dang. Sorry, I don't like pooping on how other people choose to like things w/in reason. But, like, that is just so much what I do not want, at all. Something inspired by Hickman's Secret Wars could be awesome... a decade from now at the soonest, w/out spending a decade teasing it. Just let me have a Spider-Man movie, & leave it at that. Mysterio is 100% a villain, the mastermind behind those elemental things, & lying about being from an alternate timeline. Y'know, "he's not playing Khan," etc. At least they actually talked about Tony's fate.
yeah I really don't think they're actually going to go the multi-verse route with this movie. I definitely am with the theory that it's just Mysterio being Mysterio and lying about it all.
Ok, some actual thoughts on what I'm looking forward to. The full blown Iron suit continues to look super cool, in spite of not being something I want in a solo Spider-Man film 'cause of how it takes away from the Spidey tone I really love. That brief fight in it looks rad. (Even though I've gotta then wonder why it isn't available later in the film, but hey, storytelling convenience, etc., whatever.) Still don't like the Homecoming suit. The Noir-inspired one is cool. MJ is gonna be the best thing about this movie. All the stuff w/ the classmates looks good, but especially Zendaya. It's kinda sad to say this about a Spider-Man movie w/ Mysterio, but she's gonna be my real motivation for seeing this.
it does sometimes bum me out with all the iron suit tech he has, but I think it works for the mcu and I guess we have had like 5 other Spider-Man movies that didn't have the after effects of Avengers outtings so it's something new. I definitely have been way more okay with it in follow up viewings of Homecoming, etc. And I think we do see that he's smart in his own right, so I anticipate us seeing more of that now that Tony isn't around. and yes! cannot wait for MJ
