If the Marvel logo at the beginning is all Iron Man I'm gonna be sobbing before the first scene of the movie
Damn the beginning of that trailer got me right back in the feels and it was only like 10 seconds of mentioning endgame
Pretty sure the multiverse thing is how they’re gonna introduce X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU or if not, they should.
Definitely for the X-Men. I could see the F4 already existing in our universe but something like mutants could easily be done through this.
My guess is Mysterio is lying about the multiverse/being from it. But in the end, an end credits scene confirms that there are multiverses and teases the next phase.
I assume/hope the Multiverse is real, I feel like Fury/Hill wouldn't just take Mysterio at his word. They'd verify it themselves
I could see the big twist being that Mysterio is actually just a good guy here. Being from a multiverse would be their cover for why he’s actually good. I don’t know if I like it but I could see the MCU doing something like that
Maybe he's a good guy throughout this movie and then goes bad/joins the rest of the sinister 6 or whatever in the third movie I also really don't know what I'm talking about, never read Spiderman
Yeah, I’ve pondered how they could incorporate them into the MCU because the notion that the mutants have been hiding all this time doesn’t make sense, you’d need something like that to explain why there’s all these mutants running around.
In the Spider-Men comics, Mysterio does successfully create a portal to the Ultimate universe from the main 616 universe, so maybe they're taking ideas from that.
I really hope Spider-Man’s arc in this movie is him realizing he doesn’t need to be the next Iron Man, but he needs to be the real Spider-Man. Then we can get rid of all the Iron Spider suits and just work on a really cool Spider-Man suit.
Also, before anyone complains about “muh Iron Man references”, Tony just saved the entire universe. It’s completely fine and realistic for Peter and Happy to reference him throughout this film and for heroes trying to fill the void Tony left.
There are definitely some interesting angles they could be taking with Mysterio. 1.) He’s lying and he’s actually just a villain from these parts. 2.) He’s not lying and he’s from another universe and he’s a good guy. 3.) He’s not lying about being from another universe but he is lying about being a good guy. 4.) He’s lying about being from another universe BUT, like someone else already mentioned, there is indeed a multiverse and they’re using this final film in Phase 3 to set up the future of the franchise. “Go then, there are other worlds than these.”
I didn't like the Iron Man dialog. Felt really forced. It'll probably feel better in the context of the film.
