Damn. Is Marvel actually cooking with this film

 

Finally realized that I made this thread, so I fixed the title and release date

 

Word is that the villain will be Mister Negative and he’ll be portrayed by Daniel Wu

 

I am hoping for a street level story with this 4th Spider-Man film *fingers crossed*

 

Pretty sure Sony won that fight, but we shall see

 

I am sure there will be at least one scene on a street.

 

If the villain rumor is true, I think it’s safe to say it won’t be another multiverse story.

 

Adapting "Mister Negative" by making him some guy from an internet board who really hates all the multiverse shenanigans in his universe.

 

Not sure why a specific villain means it's not a multiverse story. Every rumor so far has hinted at the opposite and it's placement in the saga doesn't lend itself to not being a multiverse thing

 

You're not wrong, but it would be weird to choose a villain who is tailor-made for a street-level story and still make it about the multiverse. It wouldn't make a lot of sense. Morlun would make way more sense.

 

I don’t think Mister Negative has any big ties to the larger multiverse. The rumors of it being a multiverse story were always “Sony wants this, Marvel wants that.” I don’t think SM4 being about the multiverse was ever set in stone.

You also had the Alex Perez “scoops” of Knull being the villain and it being about the multiverse. We know how that went lol

 

Oh I 100% agree there, but we have two companies fighting over what’s going on, while the main one tries to hold this saga together and end strong.

 

He doesn’t have ties that makes sense, but I’m just saying we can’t completely rule out that he’s just a villain being used in a multiverse story anyway. Or he’s not the only villain.

Yeah Sneider, who I fucking loathe, is even saying that Sarah Snook is being eyed for a secondary villain role

 

He’s probably not the only villain. Sarah Snook is being mentioned as a secondary villain by the same people who are bringing up Daniel Wu as Mister Negative.

It’s just that Mister Negative would have to be way more ambitious if his aim is changed to be centered around the multiverse. I think the multiverse stuff is all speculation based on divisions between Sony and Marvel.

 

Is Silver Sable too on the nose after PlayStation’s SM?

 

Interesting, I can’t think of any villain of the top of my head that she'd be a shoo-in for.

 

I have a real hard time picturing that.

 

Weren’t Silver Sable and Mister Negative the two big villains for one of the PlayStation games? lol

 

Well there’s also been rumors that Sadie Sink is a multiverse character. So those rumors never stopped hanging around still.

I hope it is street level. I’m just not getting my hopes up until I hear a plot synopsis
