I really can't explain why, but for me, watching a 2.5 hour movie feels like more of a commitment for my ADHD than watching 2.5 hour-long TV episodes lol

    I realize it's not rational

    EDIT

    Maybe a pacing thing??

my local theater has imax showings of the odyssey clean through the month of august, this is gonna lose a lot of imax screens.

I'm assuming I need to catch up on Daredevil: Born Again and watch that Punisher special but is there anything else I need to watch before I see this movie?

I think if you're caught up on Spider-Man films then you're good. I don't even think you necessarily need to catch up on Punisher stuff, although you should watch Born Again anyway.

Ok cool. Saw that first look a few pages back and wanted to be sure.

My version of ADHD is the opposite (movies > television), so obviously one of us is lying.

That’s also part of why I love going to the theater. In addition to the screen and sound being bigger and cooler and shit, that environment helps me stay focused a lot more than sitting in my home.

I still think I might rewatch Spider-Man 2 (Raimi), Punisher War Zone (Alexander), and Hulk (Lee) in the lead-up to seeing this one.

Toootally agree about the theater helping. I'm glad I've started getting myself to go again more these days

I've gone to more movies these last few months than I have in a looooong while. There's just something about the experience. I would be not at all mad if films were kept off streaming for an extended amount of time to entice people to go to a darn theater.

I Love Boosters. Mother Mary. Forbidden Fruits. The Devil Wears Prada 2. So many good reasons already so far this year to go to a theater. And this week is Disclosure Day!

I was so disappointed that I missed 28YL: Bone Temple (haven’t caught up yet), and that Scarlet didn’t play near me (bought it on Blu-ray; it ruled).

Oh yeah. And also seeing The Bride! in theaters, because seeing something that makes baffling choices on a big screen is such a delight. I’m sure Josh would agree with me on that!

I’m pretty sure this film isn’t releasing in any IMAX theaters. Odyssey has like a 3-4 week deal
