So, what I’m about to say may not actually spoil anything for this movie. But it does involve Daredevil: Born Again s3 spoilers. Which may or may not reveal something for this movie. I’m gonna put the rest behind spoiler tags. It could be nothing, but you never know.


Last week, photos got out confirming that Luke Cage and Iron Fist (boo! Sorry, Pen) are returning for DDBAs3. Earlier today Michael Coulter (Luke Cage) posted a bunch of behind the scenes and hang out photos. One included Matt in an orange prison jumpsuit with the most beard we have ever seen on the character. Cut to Spider-Man: BND and we see a sequence in a prison fighting the Hand. Could Peter be going to break Matt out? Or maybe he goes to protect him, somehow knowing the Hand may be after him? Or are prisons just too common for this to mean anything? The one thing that may point to this being a nothing burger is the release times. Spidey is in a few months, DDBAs3 is a year away. Would it make sense for them to cross over in the movie? One would assume if they do, Matt somehow stays in prison for s3 next year. Which is possible, but it feels unlikely. But it would be pretty cool to see Matt and Peter joining up to fight the Hand. They seemed to have said that they’re trying to keep TV and movies separate, so I won’t be surprised if these ideas are unrelated. But I hope there’s some connection there.

 

Yeahh idk just because The Hand is in SM does not mean it has any relation to Daredevil

 

It doesn't mean it doesn't though.

 

Spider-Man: "I don't know why the Hand were in my movie. Think it might have something to do with Daredevil."
Punisher: "...Listen bug, that's interesting."

End post-credits scene.

 

I don’t think the Hand will be connected to Daredevil, but I do think we will get a cameo of Matt in BND.

 

it’s more the whole Matt being in prison than just The Hand. Which is why I thought of it today (after seeing the photo) and not when the trailer dropped.[/spoiler.

not hating on this film that i'm gonna see as soon as i can, but it's a big jarring to look at those posters right after seeing the new BTSV images

 

Spider-Verse’s production time is about four times longer than this film’s, so that checks out

 

Look, the trailer for this clears the low bar of actually looking like a movie, a low bar that hasn’t been cleared by at least the last couple of these.

I wish the average Marvel movie poster looked better. But, I’ll settle for the movie having fewer scenes pieced together by a visual effects team given like two minutes and five bucks to make it “useable,” lol.

Tbh an internal test screening would be even better. I feel like they would be more critical considering they spent hundreds of millions making and marketing it lol

And if it was internal I’m assuming it was to see the new cut after the recent reshoots

 

Isn't this how we got the copout ending of Quantumania?

 

No idea. I saw that movie once and never wanted to research anything on it except how to erase my memory of it

 

Thinking anything significant about alleged test screening reactions is silly to me, imo.

Anyways, still waiting on a dang proper confirmation on the Sadie Sink question. Alas.

 

Better be a good character worth keeping around because Sadie was so good in Stranger Things.

I mean at this point she may not have been originally and the reshoots have been to make her Jean so that fans wouldn't riot lmao.

Which is fine by me! Bullying works!

 

At this point I would be way more surprised if she wasn't Jean. Her role has been so secret that it has to be someone big, although her look in that leaked picture still makes me think of Hope.
