I agree.

Homecoming was the only one I truly liked. The first half (before the boat scene) is exactly what I wanted to see. I didn’t like the high-tech suit, but it’s forgivable. Toomes was fantastic.

Far From Home was just okay. I like the idea of seeing Peter on a field trip, but I don’t think it needed to be its own film. If you removed the EDITH stuff and had Mysterio and the Elementals attack NYC instead, it wouldn’t be so bad. I do like the relationship between Happy and Peter, but the Happy–May subplot felt unnecessary and silly.

No Way Home has a few memorable moments (the Goblin fight in Happy’s apartment, all three Peters sharing their grief on the rooftop), but I don’t think the overall story is very strong. I liked the conflict between Peter and Strange because it showed their two opposite worldviews. Strange can be a bit of a douche, but that’s his position and he’ll always believe the ends justify the means. Peter has heart and compassion, with a slight touch of naivety.

Overall, it’s a “yeah, sure, put Peter in the MCU” kind of trilogy. Tbh, I had a sense of what the sequels would feel like as soon as they decided to keep the “Home” subtitle. The novelty was bound to wear off, but Marvel kept leaning into it.

 

The Home trilogy was great and anyone who disagrees can kick rocks

 

Does this plot point where everyone forgets who Peter is ever happen in the comics?

 

Yes and it's very controversial

 

Err actually a little different I guess. In the comics everyone just forgot that Peter is Spider-Man and it destroyed his and MJ's marriage still to this day, 19 years later. He is still known as 2 separate people and some people remember at this point.

 

Haven’t watched the trailer yet but my first thought reading this was did they show Sadie and play the X-men jingle?

 

I don't think Sony and Marvel will do it, but Man Spider or 6 armed Peter would be the only thing that makes organic webs redeemable for me haha

 

No straight up shots of Sadie and no X-men tune. Not sure how much you want to know about what’s in the trailer, but just hints of her and hints of a character with mind control powers.

I agree with you. I just think the criticisms are fair

Puma, Native American CEO who turns into a catman due to science and magic.

Cardiac, former surgeon fighting against Big Pharma with a shock staff.

Swarm, Nazi made of bees. You heard me.

 

Oh I watched it and don’t care about spoilers. I just hadn’t had a chance to see it yet and it reminded me of the ms marvel thing and how I thought it would be funny if that song played every time a mutant was alluded to
