“Mutation” =/= “mutant” in Marvel lore, though I’m sure they’re gonna use Peter’s mutating genes to help establish the concept of mutants.

There was a story in the comics where he grew extra arms, and another where he became a “Man-Spider” (which in the 90s cartoon was combined with the 6-arms concept), and another called “The Other” that for a time had him with organic web shooters. Feels like some of those concepts are gonna be pulled from here, which is probably why Hulk is here.

 

Need to get me a good quality spidey costume for this. Easily my favorite suit from the tom films. I have a raimi and far from home suit but it’s time for an upgrade

Wow finally a new Spider-Man movie that doesn't look visually dull and plastic.

Really excited for this. Really curious how far they're going to take Peter's mutation

Yeah, this was just what we did for the MCU as a whole.

 

The idea of doing homework in order to see one of the summer’s biggest upcoming movies is evil to me. If you’re the kinda fan who loves an excuse to rewatch shit, cool, have fun. But, if the movie ends up being worth anyone’s time, it’ll tell you everything you need to know.

 

I actually think most Marvel releases do a fine job of including all the things you need to know and the whole "homework" thing people get hung up on is one part perception and two parts misconception.

 

This definitely looks like a departure from "Starkpider-Man" so that's good.

 

As someone who has missed out on a lot of marvel stuff since Endgame, I can say that seeing Jon Bernthal in the trailer makes me want to watch Punisher first just so I can know the character more. But I would still watch the movie and assume it'll give me all the info I would need to enjoy their dynamic together.

 

I also I hope at some point he asks Peter to let him tell him somethin, man

 

What made you do DD full and not recaps? Just because they're so good? And I might add JJ1 (never saw 2 myself), because of how freaking awesome Kilgrave is.

Despite what Tim said, having watched TV shows definitely gives you advance to know the lore and quirks of the character. Frank Castle is an awesome character to watch beforehand.
