Lord and Miller aren't without their faults, but this is another example of Sony murdering everything we love.

 

What does "reboot Spider-Man for television" even mean? Doesn't Disney have TV rights?

 

Also, surely Lord and Miller understand that TV is going to get a smaller budget than movies? Right? Riiiight? Lol

I just took "Spider-Man reboot" as a Peter Parker reboot tv show, separate from Noir.

Just didn't know how the TV rights were split

 

Sorry I’m doubting myself now. I’m pretty sure that I read that Noir can’t be Peter Parker for some reason, so probably best to not listen to me because I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. Lol

 

We’re really going to get GTA VI before the cliffhanger from ATSV is resolved lol

 

I know Sony just sucks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out there was a falling out with Lord and Miller

 

They still have to finish up “Project Hail Mary,” so that would be very surprising.

 

Just replace them with Drew Goddard and it’ll be fine.

Okay so my other theory is that Sony wants to connect it to Tom, Andrew, and Tobey more but the filmmakers say it’s taking away from Miles’ story.

 

The only reason the first movie was so good is because Sony wasn't paying attention

2nd movie makes 120 mil in one weekend and the execs are now the creative leads. in other words, success of an imaginative work under capitalism guarantees artistic fragmentation. unless you can swing your clout around like James Cameron

Lord and Miller should move on to something else under the radar like they normally do

 

The 2nd film is just as good as the first. Only issue is that it’s not as self-contained due to a 3rd film being planned.

Phil & Lord have devoted a lot of time to Miles. It would be foolish to call it quits

 

it's a miracle how I can call the first movie good and if I somehow manage to leave out the fact that I also think the second one is a masterpiece in the same breath, people assume I think it's bad

it won best animated picture but it didn't light the box office on fire like the sequel. that's all they see
