Just finished my first listen. Schmaltz and BFE are two albums I love so god damn much, however, I can see No Joy climbing up and becoming my favorite of theirs in time. It doesn't have the obvious high energy in your face the others have but I think we all sorta expect that by now. And it's not like this is laid back by any means. I just think No Joy allows for the music to breath, it feels refreshing, the vocals are much clearer and improved, and the production is such a massive step forward. Really can't get over how good this sounds.

Wondered what happened to the East Brunswick Historical Society demo. Nice to see it ended up being Re-Emerging Signs.
After 2 listens this kinda loses me some in the back half, but everything up front is really strong and I imagine this will grow strongly on me still. Brave Faces Everyone is gonna be tough to top tho.
i couldnt get into brave faces everyone nearly as much as the consensus but this album is really great and i think my favorite of theirs
I'm firmly in the Brave Faces > No Joy camp. I'm enjoying this, but I don't share the "songs having room to breath" sentiment. I really miss the energy and this just feels a little more bland.
