Hot Mulligan rules. Stoked for this tour, although I have no clue who Heart Attack Man is, and I'm slightly annoyed that SLS isn't even direct support. So lucky I saw SLS do one of their three headlining shows this Spring.
The more I think about, I bet SLS and HAM get similar set lengths. Would make sense if each had 40 minutes.
V bummed that they aren’t even immediate direct support to HM (won’t HAM be second from the headliners based on the poster?) but I’ll take live music where I can get it. Also incredibly surprised that Hot Mulligan are that much bigger. I think the SLS folks are a much better band. But I’m glad they have a tour.
Hot Mulligan is, like, a once in a decade kind of pop-punk band. I’m glad they’re huge. (Although I wish SLS was doing a headlining tour!)
Their social media presence can be tough to stomach sometimes - and it doesn't really match their music. Beyond that, I find them to be one of the best bands to come out in the last several years.
I love Hot Mulligan but generally dislike the types of crowds they draw. With that being said, they're a fantastic live band and and them and SLS is an incredible line up for me. Bummed I have to sit through Heart Attack Man, though. Not into their songs or their general vibe at all.
I saw Arm's Length open for Heart Attack Man. About half the place cleared out before HAM's set. They aren't good and it's a bummer they're a part of this instead of a band like ...Arm's Length or S@YP.
Was hoping Trophy Eyes would be the third band on the bill. Just feel vibe of new SLS is different than the crowd HM will bring. Show will be way too aggressive for me to be in the pit at 40. Haha
Side note, but my wife is going to kill me. This show is on a Saturday night. I leave the next night for Columbus for two nights for work and come back for another concert (PETEY!) the day I return.
People were so into Hot Mulligan when I saw them open for The Wonder Years, so it's not surprising that they're the headliner here. It really feels like the pandemic just crushed the momentum Spanish Love Songs was building when they put out Brave Faces Everyone. Heart Attack Man being above them does feel kind of strange to me, though. I'm not under the impression that Spanish Love Songs is a huge band by any means, but I can't remember ever seeing anyone actually talk about liking Heart Attack Man.
Their Instagram has November’s dates but who knows when they’ll be back in US. I listened to a few songs by Heart Attack Man. Nope. The song Stick Up in particular struck me as terribly bad. Gonna wait for a headliner
