Someone mentioned the wonder years in this thread so I thought I’d give it another shot.

still just don’t get it. Can’t get thru a song.

 

Not being able to get through a song seems wild to me. That kind of talk should be reserved for the worst of the worst

I can’t even fathom listening to a song like Losers and turning it off half way through because it’s unlistenable.

 

These two singles are hitting me way too hard right now. I think the album is going to destroy me in the worst way possible.

 

I love both bands, but Losers would be the best song on SC for me. Not being able to get through it is mad.

I just don’t really care for SC to be honest. I literally never go back to it.

Maybe I should. I might have just forgotten the songs I do like.

 

I didn’t vibe with it at all for the first couple of years after it was released tbh but I’ve come around

 

To the unpopular opinions thread I go I guess.

 

I love SLS and the Menzingers and cannot get into TWY either. And I tried. Just don’t love them

 

Just realised I totally misread that post lol. I thought they were saying they couldn’t get through a song by SLS.

Yeah TWY are the best band in this scene. Truly. Particularly that run of three records and the latest one. God damn.

I’ve listened to haunted 100 times. Excitement level for this record is astronomical.

seems like the right progression for them.

 

Over these last few days I’ve listened to Spanish Love Songs in little bursts, three songs at a time at most, but not listened to any albums straight through. I really like what I hear and I think that’s how I like listening to this band.

 

I also totally misread that post… but I still feel the same way about The Wonder Years haha

Back on topic, I’m so happy SLS are coming to Australia - they aren’t coming to my state so I’m flying to Brisbane to see them but I’m still so excited

 

Planned interview fell through but I committed to an album review instead, which is to say this is in my inbox right now. Gonna listen ASAP.

 

I’ve listened to “Clean Up Crew” an obscene amount of times already and I still don’t feel like I’m close to burning out on it before the album release.
