It's been 31 days, lol.

 

Yeah but last year I struggled to narrow down my AOTY list to 50 and still left off albums that I loved.

 

All the impeachment bullshit has gotten me down and made me realize I need this album like today.

 

The opening track rules so much

 

Rumor has it, there's a leak in the Kingdom

 

cancelling dinner plans with my parents to listen to this at full volume

 

with both the impeachment stuff and today being Brexit day and no longer being a European citizen, this album came at the perfect time.

 

I like these three songs better than anything else I’ve heard from them

This is so good.

 

Went back to Schmaltz after playing these singles a ton and like it a lot more than I did before. Good stuff

 

After spending some days listening to the new album early favorites are tracks 1-10

But seriously, the whole album is fantastic. I think I like Routine Pain and Generation Loss best.

 

listened to schmaltz yesterday. this music does next to nothing for me anymore but it is a decent version of it i guess. i enjoy it when it’s on and don’t think about it at all otherwise.

 

This might be a first listen hot take, and a lazy comparison because they're on tour together right now, but this reminds me of the growth The Menzos had from CW to OTIP. CW was a really good album that caught people's attention, but OTIP took their sound and pushed it to the next level. The growth from Schmaltz to Brave Faces is very similar imo.

Something tells me this is going to spread like wildfire on here after it's released and end up on a lot of ETOY lists. What a great album and perfectly timed release with all of the bullshit going on in the world.

There are a couple moments on this that remind me so much of Rented World and I love it.
