Holy shit this RIPS.

The lyrics feel very kindred spirit to BFE. It’s a perfect match. Would love to hear this live.

Great cover. I thought it was an original and was like these lyrics aren't nearly as heart wrenching as I'm used to. Well that makes sense.

Hot Fuss was the first time I understood the concept of "fromtloading". Holy cow does that thing ever fall off a cliff midway through.

This band really knows how to resonate with my constant quarter life crisis

 

There’s something almost ominous about how well they write the “30’s in America” experience. Between this record and ATP by the Menzingers, it’s like someone has tapped into my worst internal monologues and set them to the most bitching tunes imaginable.

I'd say more mid-20s (I'm 29) but I guess that shows how badly things in Western society skipped a generation that you and I are both fucked.

 

Can’t believe BFE came out BEFORE the covid pandemic as it was legit the perfect album for that awful time. When I revisit the album it brings me back to that timeframe which isn’t ideal. Can’t wait for their next album (hopefully) this year!

 

I really want a new record from these guys
