So psyched for tomorrow. I hope the setlist is just this whole album then a few Schmaltz songs.

first post COVID show for me is tonight in Chicago. so unbelievably excited

 

That's a niiice set. Only missing It's Not Interesting, but I'm so jealous of anyone getting to see them this weekend.

 

I took my collection out in honor of tonight’s show. I’m missing a few things but I think most of it is here.

 

Dylan has a feature on this track. Considering the lyrical content it's a perfect fit

They have immensely upgraded as a live band. Not that they were ever not good but damn! Crushed it at Fest

 

i'm glad that blink cover clip was only 30 seconds because that's about all i could bare of that

 

Posted on Twitter today they are recording. The absolute tragedy of COVID is that we never got a true Brave Faces tour.

 

I can’t listen to a single note of this record without it taking me back to the most depressing days of my entire life. I can live in them - the skin, the smell, the fear, the anxiety and depression splitting the seams of my entire being.

Holy shit, what a bummer. But man, that’s the sign of great fucking art, is it not?

 

Between the full band set and acoustic set at Fest I got to see the whole record which was nice

Hope when the new record comes around they don't lose all of the Schmaltz songs in their set though

 

I doubt it. I don’t think Dylan really cares for giant, but I think he is still proud of schmaltz

 

It will depend on how much they want to focus on the new album but given they've played almost everything off BFE, I imagine they will drop to 4 or 5 songs each off Schmaltz and BFE, keep one off Giant as an "old fans treat" and play most of the new album (6-8 songs)

(I would LOVE for them to come to the UK and play their current setlist before then - it's amazing - but I doubt that will happen)

 

I can definitely see them doing a Spring tour and then not actually releasing a new album til later summer, fall of next year.

 

Damn, this is a gut punch.

 

Really hoping they can at least do some proper touring next year.

 

yeah i would much rather them get to tour and make some $$

think it honestly a little silly to expect a band like them to have another album ready to go in 2022 after being able to do absolutely nothing with their 2020 album.

 

I agree but Dylan has made several mentions of writing/making an album during quarantine over the past year and a half. Also, when they announced the February tour, he teased they'd have some new stuff out by then. I think expectations were set by the band itself, not by fans.
