To me it means to always be looking for the negatives, that’s the “faulty circuit”. Like of all the things you could be pointing out on the road you're actively looking for dead dogs. Ties in with the “don’t take me out back and shoot me” imagery too. Didn’t realize this was such a middle of the road song for most people, it’s one of my favorites on the record.
don't care much for optimism either – but then, I don't think routine pain is close to the best on here either
i know MWY will also get rescheduled by the denver date for that and their headliner were on the same day originally and it was gutting us to not to go. hopefully pans out we can make it to both now!
I also feel Routine Pain is overrated but I still like it a lot. Same with Beachfront Self Destruction, Generation Loss, Kick and both Losers songs are the top tracks for me
What other bands or albums can you guys recommend that sound somewhat like SLS? Apart from the obvious Menzingers and The Wonder Years.
Captain, We’re Sinking edit: Modern Baseball, Hotelier, and The Front Bottoms have honest and personal heart on sleeve lyrics, similar to SLS.
