I'm definitely going to rip this and separate the tracks later, but I'd love a really well-produced, Burst and Decay-style version of this album.
I guess the archive of the stream isn't going up on Youtube right away, but it will be part of the Patreon they're launching soon.
Whoever had tickets to the headlining show in Somerville, MA it has been rescheduled to Sunday August 2nd ... Sunday night is better than Wednesday lol
I would like to issue an apology. When the album was first released I may have called Beach Front Property "just a Wonder Years pastiche" and said that I was not a fan. I now reckon it might be one of their best songs. Certainly the definitive soundtrack of this particular moment in time on an album full of them. "It's the end of days and you're still pissing in the wind Don't believe in God but figured he'd be a better planner than this"
The only song that sounds like a TWY B-Side to me now is Optimism and it's probably my least favorite. Especially being sandwiched between 2 of their best songs
Dylan sounds a lot like Soupy on that song for one, that's certainly what initially prompted the comparison for me. I'd compare it to something off No Closer to Heaven.
Optimism is fine, but the "pointing out dead dogs on the road" line always bothers me. I'm probably just a moron, but what on earth is this supposed to mean?
