Can someone tell me if there's a meaning behind the band name? I just discovered them this year because of the new album, so I'm out of the loop.

COVID has made this album feel more timely and fucking relevant than ever. Good grief, what a record.

 

I can't pick a favorite song. It changes on the day or on the hour, based on the news and my mood. From pure strength of musicality, "Losers 2," "Beach Front Property" and the title track are amazing, especially the callbacks in the last song. Lyrically, it's "Generation Loss" or "Self Destruction" or my GOD, "Dolores."

This is like picking a favorite child.

 

Those are all great, for me it's ROUTINE PAIN though

 

Starting with "Am I going to be this down.......forever" - til the end of that song - so so great

 

might revisit this in the COVID era now everything seems bleaker

 

If people are digging this but haven’t checked out Captain we’re sinking’s album the future is Cancelled I would highly recommend. Similar sound and similar lyrical vibes

 

Haven’t listened to that album in what feels like forever.

 

Man the title of this record wound up becoming super timely. Listened today and our current situation really gives the songs some new context.
