The moon is really close to it right now for me. I don't know if that's making it appear dimmer or what, but it looks the same to me. Don't think y'all missed much. If you look on another night when the moon isn't out it should be just as cool.
Michelle Thaller (because I just looked up her name) said on some show that if you want to see an alien, look in the mirror, and I think that sums it up well. Or better yet, watch Planet Earth and look at all of the crazy aliens that share the planet with us.
I was reading the Gemini IV mission comms transcript last night. I was only doing it for research, but ended up finding it absolutely exhilarating. I think I might be a nerd.
I heard about that. Whatever it is, I'll check it out. At the risk of being a stickler, I keep my expectations low whenever the internet hypes the moon. Today is the longest day of the year. That's cool, minus the stupid heat haha.
I need to remember that there aren't readily available, real-life pictures or video of these things happening. Set my expectations way too high going into that one lol.
