If you've never heard of them, they're from Eugene, OR and they sound somewhere between My Chemical Romance and midwest emo/math rock. Don't sleep on 'em!
My exact thoughts when their new track popped up in my release radar. Give Up the Ghost is a perfect debut album.
Well at least there's three of us on this site stoked about this band! Hope this album gets them more attention, I think they'd be really popular if they get the right push.
Okay so I saw this band open for Sinai Vessel the last time they released a record and completely forgot about them, but I’ll check this out.
Excited for everyone to hear this! The album is awesome and I hope this gains the band a lot of new fans.
No filler is exactly what I was expecting from this band - this week is going to feel long waiting for this to drop.
Oh yeah, just haven't found time to comment. I've had about 2.5 listens at this point (also absorbing Knocked Loose and Hot Water Music). It's gut-wrenching, visceral, and exactly what I wanted as a follow-up. Hoping to catch them in Tacoma!
I definitely got Hotelier mixed with early TWIABP vibes from this. Very good album that sounds like early 2010’s haha.
This is approaching The Lack Long After levels of "incredible but I don't know how much I'll come back to it based on the subject matter."
I randomly saw this and checked it out. I just finished it and my jaw is on the floor. This is a masterpiece. Hard to listen to but so good. I feel like if it finds enough ears that, like what @Drew Beringer said, it could be a classic of the genre
Heard about this on Indiecast and queued it up. One song down and I am all the way in. How is this band not blowing up (on here and in general)???
Whole album is incredible but the song "Barely Hanging On" going into "So Cold" is perfection. I get chills every time.
