The series is staying on HBO Max for a few years, but Paramount+ is getting the exclusive "movies" and will have the show for the long term passed the HBO Max expiration date. They made a killing off these deals
I'm just really curious what these "movies" will entail. I'm getting the impression from this announcement that they'll just be extended episodes like the two COVID specials
Yea it sounds like they are just extended episodes but Viacom called them movies in the press release.
Parts of this is fun like the future versions of the characters and Alexa being Stan’s wife and a parody of Joi from BR 2049 but meh
enjoyed this, especially with my brother. didn’t know i could laugh that hard at this shit (albeit twice) in 2021
that said, the bullshit where jimmy makes a bunch of ironic “oh they’re such nice great people” jokes is rich given that P&S collectively made just under a billion to make whatever south park specials they want
i felt it was good all in all and i’d likely watch it again, no doubt before we all receive even more information about covid that’ll cause this to age like milk eventually
I actually really, really enjoyed this. Genuinely good story and really funny too. I didn't know it was going to be a multi-parter though, I hope we don't have to wait too long for the conclusion
I think I actually stood up and clapped. Amazing. I died when I saw what they had older Carman be. Alexa was a hilarious idea. Jimmy telling pc jokes. And an ending that actually made me laugh, excited, like...decently nice twist?
