If it were a paid access thing, I’m pretty sure the announcement would’ve said so. Definitely seems like the Mulan experiment ultimately didn’t pay off. I’m fine with this. Gotta find that right balance of shuffling the schedule & putting stuff out in different ways, especially since things show no signs of changing at the theater any time soon.
Outside of Coco and Inside Out, Pixar has fallen back a little recently but I’m sure this one is gonna be awesome.
This is way wilder and all over the place than I thought it would be (I've only seen the teaser, so I thought it was just about a jazz musician in the afterlife.) There's a lot that I love, some that I don't (mainly Tina Fey's character), but overall - very solid. Its ending is very sweet and poignant. Pretty much what we need right now.
heard from someone who watched it a second time that the majority of his issues with it subsided with a rewatch so i’m gonna keep that in mind
Yeah, I think it will absolutely work better on a second watch. But it’s not like it’s bad on the first watch, just different.
This was really great. Docter is really breathing fresh ideas into Pixar, even if the actual movies aren’t exactly the highest tier. This and Inside Out swing for the fences, I think if they can keep playing with ideas like this, they’re going to land on another masterpiece soon Reznor and Ross’ score is, as usual, spectacular
Really loved this. Definitely curious to see what kids will think of it. Music was obviously incredible and I thought the animation was gorgeous
