Watch: Aretha Franklin's Casually Colossal Rendition Of 'O Tannenbaum' This is tremendous, despite the butchered German.
Here's my favorite compilation tape of all time, Jerry Blavat Presents For Dancers Only. I really wish I could find the version of Heat Wave with Jerry talking over the beginning. It feels unfinished without it EDIT: here it is!
Been having a Funkadelic session this evening. Maggot Brain is obviously the stand out album, but the self titled is just as essential IMO.
I'd say One Nation Under a Groove is their most stand-out album, myself, based on what I've heard thusfar.
Oh man need to sub here, haven't had as much time lately to go diggin through crates or blogs to find new stuff though.
I think the 80s songs are cool too but yes, this is what they sounded like before that. They made a lot of songs in that sound.
Trust me that wasn’t a zing. I live for 80s pop. I just had no clue they had this kind of stuff too and it’s awesome.
Same haha. Might do one for The Isley Brothers as they're one of the few acts whose 80's stuff I don't mind. Between The Sheets is just pure sex music!
