Sweeeeet. I’m going through my regular SY phase. Goo, Evol, Dirty, and Daydream Nation are amazing albums.

 

the versions of cross the breeze and eric's trip here are v cool for anyone who wants to dive into some familiar stuff, in general the whole thing sounds good and im having a good time w it. next im trying to find something that's got some murray st jams

edit: oh, thurston probably sounds the least good on here, vocally speaking, but it's not horrible or anything and he does some fun stuff here and there. lil scream or smth

going through my regular sonic youth phase. probably the most consistently good rock band.

 

They never get old. Might put Murray St on my record player

 

I had no idea the original drummer was Richard Edsen.

pretty tough to figure out isnt it lol

 

honestly I listen to their other stuff more than DN these days though. but it will forever and always be my favorite because of the worlds it opened for me as a listener of music and because of the memories I attach to it

plus teenage riot is the best opening track maybe of any record ever so

 

Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star is their best album

at least a thousand sonic youth fans enjoy telling me that i'm wrong

 

Literally no "wrong" answers except maybe NYC Ghosts or Confusion Is Sex. Something for everyone in their catalog
