Wow this looks even worse than I could have imagined

This looks horrible and I can’t wait to see it.

 

I knew his face reminded me of something.

 

I'm already waiting for this to hit Redbox.

 

If they had it take place in his world and had Tails, Knuckles and all the other characters with Jim Carry being the only human, wanting to be evil and whatnot, I'd be so much more down.

Why do we need all these human sub plots and the government to be involved in everything haha.

 

I had no idea that Sonic has the longest running comic in the US that hadn't been rebooted. Been going monthly for 25 years without breaks.

 

Yea, I don't really like Carey in this role. They couldn't just put oldman in a fat suit again?

 

I collected until a little after issue 50, which had a 4 comic arc called End Game where Sonic was framed for attempted murder and fought and killed Dr Robotnik in the finale. Way too epic for anything sonic related haha.




That was at least 15 years ago when i was a kid, so I can only imagine where the series has gone since then.

To be fair, in the fight he doesn't murder Eggman, they just fight while his evil lair is exploding and he just gets caught in it while Sonic escapes from what I remember. Kind of like how Ra's is killed in Batman Begins "I don't have to save you".

Like I said:

 

God I remember reading an issue where Knuckles watches his father die by jumping into some massive wall of fire I think? The comic gets...surprisingly dark.

 

Getting screen shots online and yeah they are actually throwing punches at each other lol. I love it.

A sonic punch at that speed should kill eggman though tbh.

 

I might've had this? I had a bunch of miscellaneous Sonic comics as a kid, & I'm pretty sure that included at least part of that "Endgame" story.

Remember my older brother had a super cool Mecha Sonic comic that I loved:

 

I have this one too! I have so many bins full of single issue comics. I can't imagine how many I'd have if I kept going.... and don't want to imagine how many you have!

 

I'm seeing Avengers Endgame on Sunday and now that I remembered this, I'll be thinking the whole time "This better live to up Sonic Endgame, the 4 part comic epic from 1997" lol
