FDB seemed like it had good ideas but they weren't fleshed out enough.

out of their depth

go back to energetic yet depressive power pop/pop punk and maybe throw in some new elements into the mix

but leave the boring "mature" indie rock or whatever that last album attempted please

on the subject of FDB: i hated it when i first heard it. couldn't even get through the whole thing. i was so bummed it wasn't more like TOP. but when i let the dust settle and went back to it, i actually really enjoyed it. there's some great songs on there, and it really doesn't sound like as much of a departure than i initially thought it was.

super interested to hear what they're putting out

 

i only liked it because i didn't have options but if this was facebook i would have angry'd it

So I've seen this band a few times now (and like both of their full lengths), but I don't understand the sentiment that they were a "great live band."

I've always enjoyed the music, they just lack any energy or stage presence in my opinion. Different viewpoints welcome -- could have been the crowd or the venue, but I think I've seen them 5 or 6 times.

 

so glad they're back.

Both records are amazing

 

Wow, that was quick lol. No complaints here, love this band and pretty much all of their material.

 

Everything they've done has been good. I doubt this willl be different

Also, FDW is miles better than Temple of Plenty, which is already pretty fantastic. Hope this trend continues.

 

The news that they're back makes me so happy. I've been thinking about them a lot recently, rewatching their Audiotree and being bummed thinking they were done for good.

That last 7' they put out was awesome, glad we're getting more

the whirring in the chorus is very very bad and mixed so poorly

 

guess I'll pay attention to this thread
