Not with one movie underperforming. They’ll need 2 or 3 to underperform before they start to change their strategy.
Maybe the May release was a bad idea? Especially with Deadpool and Avengers still taking in money. It’s not like the Last Jedi came out all that long ago either.
This film was a special situation in a wide variety of ways. You'd need a major trend in box office performances before jumping to any conclusions.
I wasn’t expecting much so I’m not disappointed, but this was easily my least favorite Disney SW film. Maybe I’m judging it too harshly, because it came after TLJ, which is my third favorite after IV and V.
I always forget and then am reminded to wonder if posters in this thread are posters on the star wars subreddit lol
Gotta say I was disappointed with the lack of Therm screen time. Did he even have a speaking part? Denny’s definitely hyped him up too much.
Just saw it, thought it was a blast. Very enjoyable film. Let’s see where the numbers are after next weekend before saying Star was is in trouble.
It’s blowing my mind that George directed Ron and Harrison in American Graffiti and now like a million years later (approx.) Ron directed a movie about a character that George also created, once played by Harrison.
Watching A New Hope at the moment. As they leave the Death Star Leia says they are being tracked and Han says, “not this ship, sister”. But we just saw that literally the first time Han is in the ship it was being tracked. Oh, Han...
what a huge plot hole, I can't believe George Lucas put that in there. Thanks for ruining Ep IV for me now /s
I mean he coulda updated it in the 10 years since he was first in the ship till A New Hope to be harder to track
Sure. But it’s still funny. We never see the tracker in ANH only hear about it. In Solo we see it, but the heroes never address it. It could be the same type of tracker. Or Han is just over confident. Still funny to me that the first time he is on it it gets tracked and that line exists.
