The movie is out spoiler tags are not needed.

Anybody that doesn’t want spoiled get out of this thread you foolish child.

Anyway, yes, he survived. He has an extensive arc in Clone Wars and Rebels. I HIGHLY recommend watching both shows if you can make the time.

Yea, that’s easily the dumbest moment in the movie.

    Some random thoughts....

For a movie I thought would be bad mixed with all the BTS drama... this game out fairly solid. Alden was great and totally won me over.

The movie fully had me when Chewie finally sat in his copilot chair, it felt like all was finally right.

Glover was brilliant and I really hope we get more of him in some form.

Everything with the Falcon was so good! Loved the Kessel run sequence.

Still can’t believe they referenced the Masters of Teras Kasi. What in the fuck?

Him getting his last name was really stupid.

I guess I’m tired, that’s all that’s coming to me. Well, minus Maul! That was interesting. Not sure how I feel about it yet.

There was really nothing I disliked in this movie. A few great moments, definitely on par with Rogue One

    Chewie double-fisting drinks was amazing.

Also just hopping in the shower with Han lol

I also liked that they continued not using the traditional crawl, but still gave some context and allowed a moment to breathe in the start of the movie.

Chewie is so brutal and I love that too ha. There’s no “Eadu” part of this film for me (that part of R1 just drags like crazy to me), so that’s a positive ha. Not totally sure how I also feel about the Maul reveal. People in my showing were pretty hyped about it.
I do want to see this again in theaters.

I wonder how many people have no clue he survived and has done a lot in canon since TPM.

  15. My theater was nearly empty, which felt so strange for a Star Wars opening day, but I really enjoyed this, especially from Lando’s intro through the entire Kessel section. The Maul bit was a total surprise for me (I haven’t watched the animated shows so I had no idea he was still around in the current canon). I thought all of the main cast, including Alden, did a really good job. The “190 years?!” line was definitely the most “yeah, that’s definitely Han” moment for me, but I like the whole performance a lot more than I expected to.

I actually also really liked the reveal that the rival gang was a bunch of rebels, that girl was great.

Fun movie if not completely unnecessary. I think the third act sold me.

Where is this in the timeline of the films? I also haven't seen Rebels or Clone Wars so I'm a bit confused. Who does Qira serve? Does she become something else?

Enjoyed this. Only part I really wasn’t a fan of was him getting his name.

Alden did a great job. Loved Lando. Maul was a great surprise. The Enfys twist was nice. Han shooting first. The end with Han giving Lando the “Cloud City welcome”. L3 becoming a part of the Falcon. More that I’m forgetting but I’m excited to go back and watch asap. Wouldn’t mind a sequel.

Ok so I guess this takes place 10 years before A New Hope, that makes sense.
