Why the negativity? I still think the Solo film was a bad idea, but Boba Fett is a cool character ripe for fleshing out. And, Mangold is cool. I think I'd rather have Mangold do Obi-Wan. And the continued hiring of white dudes is a bummer. But, if we're gonna get more standalone films spotlighting established characters, I dig Boba Fett as one of 'em.
Solo made $0.12 million for midnight showings in China and is going to open it's weekend with less than $10 million there as well.. I think it's safe to say that right now this franchise is close to dead there.
Another white dude director sucks Logan sucked Boba Fett is cool and better than Obi Wan there I did all my takes at once.
1.) 2.) 3.) & I still really want an Obi-Wan film because I loved Ewan McGregor in the role but hate the prequels. It'd also be a neat opportunity if they kept it all on Tatooine and embraced a western vibe. With someone like Mangold or Lexi Alexander, it could rule. But, yeah, if our gauge for these films is who lends themselves the most to being further explored (which I'd say it should be), Boba Fett is obviously the better choice. Though, since we're getting all of the films, why not both, lol.
Seriously though, after I first saw TFA, I would have been perfectly happy if we had a SW movie centered on Rey, Finn, and Poe without any characters from the original trilogy
Boba is really cool because he has dope armor and an interesting ship and is a mysterious bounty hunter with lots of subtext with Han that is infinitely more interesting left as subtext. In my mind the more I hear him talk, the less intriguing he is. I don't care who Star Wars chooses to make a movie about, I care about the creatives behind the camera, and aside from Rian Johnson and Bradford Young , it's not a thrilling lineup.
I feel like Ewan would do wonders as Obi-Wan if anyone other than George Lucas can be the director. That’s my main selling point.
I actually really enjoyed this! The pacing is way too quick for sure and that definitely makes the film a bit clunky. I genuinely don’t understand the people who are saying this is one of the worst SW films (like AOTC level). Am I going to be thinking about this as much as TFA and TLJ? Nope and I’m cool with that.
This was a lot of fun. Nothing earth shattering but it’s a really great watch with quite a few canon connections that make me smile. It’s the perfect Saturday while doing chores movie.
Just sat down for the 10 o’clock showing. My wife and I are the only ones here currently haha. I’ve got some friends coming but still.
Also i enjoyed this alot, it was backloaded. The last 45 mins-hour were really great once you get used to him as Han
Yea I liked this a lot. Got bored in the 3rd act but really really enjoyed the first two. The whole cast is great. It’s beautiful lookin movie too.
What is the timeline of this?? i guess maul survived episode 1??? i didnt watch any of the animated shows so idk anything that happened there that might explain that.
The way he gets his name could not have been worse. Overall I enjoyed it. Nothing crazy but doesn't deserve any hate. Alden was good.
