Thought this was, at best, completely average

 

Yep. Completely inessential, except for one scene. Ehrenreich has the presence and good looks, but his delivery - yeeeeesh. Even Donald tends to walk the line between being Lando on his own and doing a blatant Billy Dee impersonation.

 

Basically. I don't think too many people are gonna walk out of the theater hating this film or anything, it's just very lacking and middle of the road

 

At The Arclight and they have the costumes they wore in the film. They’re pretty snazzy.

 

I wanna see this at Arclght tomorrow. Someone from the movie almost always show up at Arclight on opening night.

 

I'm seeing this tomorrow and I realized today that I don't really have any expectations. Like, not even the minimal expectations I had for Rogue One. Hm. We'll see.

 

Yea.... it’s by far the least hyped I’ve ever been for a Star Wars movie. It’s sad.

 

You're both summing up my feelings. I haven't even planned to see it yet. Weird.

 

I was pretty hyped, but then the reviews said that it’s just an ok movie. Was holding out hope that they could nail it... oh well. It’s the most expensive SW film ever made from all those reshoots which is crazy. Still super intrigued by the cast tho, mostly Enfys Nest. Seeing it tonight, I think having lower expectations for this is fine.

 

Yea, my non hype and low expectations will probably help me enjoy it more.

But again, that’s kind of sad.

 

I have tickets for the first showing tonight, but I keep forgetting I'm even seeing it after work. I can't remember ever being this un-hyped for a SW movie.

 

The 20-30 second spots that were on yesterday telling me to see it tomorrow(today) were pretty bad imo. If I see it in the theater then fine. If I don't that's fine too.

 

just randomly went to see what seats might be available for early evening showings near me and i found a theater completely sold out save for one seat right in the middle of the theater. figure its serendipity. now excited to see this tonight.

 

I'm just gonna go and have fun. Not too worried about average reviews.

 

Looking forward to this on Netflix next year

 

If you’re lucky you might get it before the end of the year!

 

Forgot to book this off of work, thus ending my streak of seeing all of the Disney Star Wars in the first showing here. Oh well. I'll go tomorrow.

Basically my thoughts. Boba Fett is barely even a character lol.
