Reactions are mixed but Good to have confirmed that the movie isn’t a total disaster like a lot of us suspected at one point.

 

Everything I’ve seen has been pretty positive. Not to be a grouch but early reactions are almost always positive for whatever reasons, even for stuff that eventually gets panned like Batman v Superman

 

There’s probably a special feeling being at a premiere that helps you get on board with things.

That’s my feeling as well. They also tend to invite people who exist in the more “nerdy” corners of the internet who are predisposed to liking the property

 

Not like I didn’t know it was coming but an MCU-ization of Star Wars is the least exciting thing imaginable

 

I’m glad I’m not the only person who feels this way, Jedi Council kept going on and on about it for weeks. However, if they do it for these kind of side stories like Solo I don’t mind as much.

 

Yeah that really only works for Marvel because it's a very comic book-y thing. Probably why literally none of the other attempts at doing this (hey Dark Universe) have panned out. Hopefully they're just exaggerating and it's more like a tease for a Solo sequel or something. Not that I want that either, just that it would be better than trying to MCU-ify the Star Wars franchise.
