Didn't watch the video but from what's being said sounds like the time when the Angry Video Game Nerd posted a video boycotting the Ghostbusters reboot.
Clip from the movie, includes a bit of the score if you are curious — standard SW music Edit: also Full of Sith put up a short interview with Jon Kasdan that is a good listen
Fell asleep last night and tried getting tickets for either the 7 or 7:30 Thursday screenings at Alamo and they are all sold out but up front... Does Alamo often add showtimes for those Thursday premiere nights?
Picked up my sister from elementary school and damn near every kid there was decked out for May the 4th. I've made peace with the idea of not thinking this movie is all that great as long as the kids like it.
I dunno what it is about Boulder, but I never have any trouble getting good tickets for Thursday or Friday premiere.
Just want to say this because I know everybody will forget about the perception of this movie from January/February. Solo marketing is fucking everywhere right now, and as expected there are multiple trailers, tv spots, behind the scenes spots, Solo Cups, trading cards, etc... and we still are a few weeks away. When this thing makes a bunch of money can we agree to not complain about the marketing anymore and not getting any trailers or pictures almost 6 months from the movie release like the sky is falling? This is the only time that matters and once again they are killing it and its already projecting around 175million, when in January and February people were saying it would barely make 100mill because of the drama/Last Jedi "backlash"/ lack of promotional material. Movie still may suck, but the marketing, hype, and general excitement around this movie seems to be growing and growing.
‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Advance Ticket Sales Already Breaking Records, Besting ‘Black Panther’ Even after all the negative reactions it’s still breaking records. Just kind of goes to show how we always tend to focus on the negative.
I think it just means that star wars movies will always make a lot of money regardless of what people say on the internet
Yeah exactly. I think what we actually need to keep in mind is that ~90% of general audiences don't pay nearly as close attention to the production problems of major movies as the people on this site and other similar sites do. It has "Star Wars" in the title, it's going to make money. Doesn't mean the negative reaction online hasn't been justified, just that it isn't reaching the majority of people who just want to see a Star War.
every time i see the trailers for this i realize i only care about chewy and dong lover, and it makes me kinda sad.
Donald Glover doing a SNL sketch about how little black people there are in Star Wars while promoting the Star Wars movie he’s in this month is dope as hell
Tracklisting is out for those curious Oops, do not want to post John Powell’s Fb link since the pic shows, but it’s here as well What Can We Learn From The Full Track Listing For The SOLO Soundtrack? Also, little clip from Kimmel
interesting that it looks like the train scenes happen seemingly early in the movie, i assumed in the trailers that that might have been a big part near the end.. Either way, I am getting excited for this.
I've been avoiding trailers and articles about this and was still on the fence on seeing this but then I remembered Therm Scissorpunch is in it!
This interview with Alden is super charming. Starts ~50 seconds in. Also, this is crazy! They always go big for the premiere
I see way more of Harrison Ford in him in that interview than I do in any of the promo material released
I can't help myself and watched all the clips so far and Alden has convinced me more than ever that he can pull this thing off.
I was never really worried about Alden. In fact, nothing really worries me about this movie. Since Lord & Miller were fired I’ve just assumed it’ll be milquetoast sci-fi action Disney Star Wars fare featuring two of my favorite actors in Glover and Harrelson. If it’s better, great. If it’s not, bummer.
I've come around to him as well. I think his facial expressions and mannerisms seem pretty spot on for Han. His voice isn't as commanding as Harrison Ford's, but I think I've gotten used to that at this point. My expectations for his performance and this film overall standing at "I'm sure it'll be fun".
I feel like in interviews I can see what Lucasfilm must have seen to want to cast him for the part, but unfortunately that’s just not coming through in the performance (at least what I’ve seen so far)
