I have a feeling I am going to laugh a lot but also groan a lot during this film. From everything I've seen, I still am not feeling Alden but I'm not too worried because we get Chewie and Lando and Dany Targaryen. Also please stop saying "I'm putting together a crew" in every trailer
This trailer made me realize that I’m excited for Chewie in addition to Lando. Joonas seems to be doing a great job.
Semi-related but I work for a catalog company where a big part of our products are toys and some of which is the FurReal line of animal toys and the other day when doing research came across the FurReal Chewbacca.
Actual quote from Jon Kasdan in the newest episode of The Star Wars show: "He [Han] would never want this movie to be made." Hahaha
Han or Ford? The former doesnt make sense to me. Ford’s M.O. seems to be that he doesnt care about things.
After a few tv spots, i think one of the main things that i realized about this thats throwing me off if that this han solo seems young bright eyed ans bushy tailed and the han we meet (supposedly only like 5-10 years later) in ANH is already such a cynic. Not used to seeing a happy excited han solo.
my point was mainly that it's a different han solo that we might be used to seeing, that's all. maybe i worded it poorly.
Solo: A Star Wars Story Will Have Two Movie Sequels Says Han Solo Actor Alden Ehrenreich Alden confirmed he’s signed on for 3 films. Guess we’ll see how this first one is received.
This actually excites me a little bit more for this movie. I can't imagine Disney/Lucasfilm signing this on for essentially trilogy if they didn't have confidence in it. This would quell any rumor IMO that they are preparing for this to suck/be received poorly.
Just because he originally signed on for three movies doesn't mean three movies are 100% getting made. That contract was signed before the trainwreck happened, after all.
If the contract stays, I’m wondering what the timeline will be for the next installment. Is it gonna go IX/Rian Johnson/ GOT guys/Solo? I think two Star Wars stories in one year is pushing it IMO.
We get like 3-4 Marvel movies every year, that still seems to work. As long as the movies are good, the quantity surely does not concern me.
At this point I really just want this movie to come out so we can all stop speculating at how bad it will be and just know what it is. People will like it and people won't then we can move on and get hyped about future releases.
