Huhhhh reallly didn’t feel that trailer. Just looked goofy as hell and Alden’s acting rumors appear to be true. Not to over-judge from a trailer but yea.
I honestly saw nothing in the trailer that would confirm to me that hes a bad actor, but maybe im not going out of my way to look for it.
I’m excited. It looks to just be a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to the time we get to spend with Chewie since he tends to be just a side character in the other films.
I think the music is what really is messing with me. It’s crap compared to the usual SW trailer music and feels really corny.
when Han said "I'm a driver I'm a flyer" I immediately thought of the "I'm a driver I'm a winner things are gonna change I can feel it" part of Loser
I just don’t know how to feel about this movie. It just feels like it’s lacking something. I can’t explain it.
Yeah, I caved after reading this. I resisted for TLJ, Black Panther, and Infinity War, but I cant resist the opportunity seeing Thermie. The human will is only so strong.
At first I thought the intro guitar was playing Eye of the Tiger, I was like... are you serious? Anyways, Im glad theres still little story details. I agree the music is pretty bad. John Powell is amazing though so I have faith this is just trailer music. Also, surprisingly I actually liked this. Looked like fun and I actually felt a Han Solo vibe from Alden personally. Especially in the "well, what do you know? and when hes riding the falcon. maybe im in the minority but I could def buy him as a 10 year younger Han Solo than ANH
Hell Im excited for Therm Scissorpunch, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, more Chewy, and Enfys Nest looks like a fun villain. Thats enough for me to be excited
I'm digging the trailer. Looks very fun overall. Alden looks fine. He's got the unenviable job of trying to follow up Harrison Ford. That being said, I think the side characters are going to steal this thing.
So far I buy him as well. Definitely the lowest anticipated I’ve been for a Star Wars film, but I’m sure I’ll get more excited the closer we get.
Disney must reallllly not be confident in this actor's performance; this is the first meaningful screentime that Han Solo's had and he's definitely not the star of his own prequel trailer.
idk. after watching the BTS features for force awakens and last jedi, it's pretty evident how deep the casting process will go just to find their right person. i think it's definitely concerning that we really seem to see NO advertising at all for this, and i have to believe there is some reason for that, but i don't really believe that disney went ahead with someone they're not confident in for this role.
Idk. other than the TLJ teaser at celebration this seems to be exactly the process they had for TLJ. They released first offical trailer around 2 months in from release in mid october, and then it progressively ramped up with like a thousand tv spots and advertisement everywhere. I assume it will be the same. Well start getting a bunch of stuff soon and then well be annoyed with it.
Also how about Chewy full out slamming a dude head first into the ground which I assume killed him. Its about time we see the ruthlessness of a wookie.
This looks like it'll be fun. I kind of get a Firefly feel from this - which makes sense since they did say it's a space western.
This looks beautiful too. Say what you want about Rogue One, but that was a pretty film. This looks equally visually mesmerizing. Those shots on the space train or whatever look amazing!
This is better than the first trailer. I still do not see a young Han Solo in that performance though.
Honestly like the trailer a lot. I actually really did get Han/Ford vibes from Alden at certain points, I think at the very least he'll do a serviceable job. I'm glad Donald isn't doing a corny Billy Dee Williams impression, although it sounds like he's literally not even changing his voice lol. Still 90% of the reason I'm excited for this though
