I'm here for all the Therm Scissorpunch they give me. I will say again, in a world where names like Porkins, Salacious B. Crumb, Sleazebagano, Savage Opress, and Droopy McCool (member of the Max Rebo Band) are real then Therm Scissorpunch just makes sense.
Were the prequels as hated when they came out as they are now? I was in middle school and high school through their releases so i was just young and hyped abt star wars, it was not until years later and more educated rewatches that i realized just how trash they were lol
I do remember being psyched for Phantom Menace and enjoying it at the time. But the other two, yeah they were bad and I knew better then. Seem to remember a lot of people my age at the time really disappointed in those two.
The only thing I remember criticizing them about was the acting and Annikan's turn did not seem believable. Overall I remember enjoying them in theaters, but I was only 14 by the time Sith was released. I think the first time I had ever heard someone say they were bad was sometime in college through a joke in How I Met Your Mother. After that I kept thinking, "wait, I remember liking those" so I rewatched them and yea... they were not what I remembered.
I really loved the prequels when I was younger. Revenge of the Sith was actually my favorite Star Wars movie when it came out, but I was 8
I was a freshman in high school when Episode I came out (and it was my first theater experience for a SW movie), I remember being bummed right at the opening crawl when learning of the plot involved "the taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute"... Talk about boring!
Im cutting myself off from anything else promotion wise. I really loved going into TLJ/Black Panther and now Infinity War with practically nothing. Especially not knowing the story. Although Im not looking forward to another trailer I have to leave and wait in the hallway when Im at the theater lol
I wish you luck when seeing Infinity War because this new trailer will definitely be playing before it. You have more self-control than I do.
Its not as hard as i thought it’d be. It’s really more hard to avoid news titles/thumbnails online than it is resisting trailers. Since there are assigned seats I usually just chill outside the theater until the “don’t use your phone or well kill you” ad comes up.
New trailer is great. I’m really excited for this. Expectations aren’t too high, just wanna have a fun time and i think i’ll get that for sure.
