Oh, I totally forgot about Rogue One lol. Gareth Edwards.

And yes, the quote was in reference to who was directing

With two....I repeat. TWO new series of movies and a live action show on the way, I assume they'll let some time pass before the episodic films and may even get away from the "A Star Wars Story" stuff. Really hope Obi-wan still happens though.

My post was necessarily directed at anyone in this thread, more of a thought on how Disney/Lucasfilm has been talking about expanding diversity with their story telling. They seem to only talk about directors from what I've seen.

Sometime last year, it was gonna be on Disney’s unannounced streaming service but now that they basically own Hulu idk.

I really, really hope they scrap that stupid Disney-only streaming service and just put everything on Hulu instead now.

Iger claimed the Disney service would be significantly cheaper than Netflix. Hulu is around the same price, isn’t it? I’d rather do the Disney one then.

  18. So will most parents. It's a no brainer. Especially with buying Fox, they'll have an incredible selection and own their future. No way do they wanna give up that. Their content will be able to make $$ for years and be extremely enticing with what they have. If I'm Hulu, I'm worried. Netflix will probably be fine.

(They'll probably buy Spotify before it's over and own everything.)

Honestly... at first i was annoyed at the precedent t sets having a studio having its own service. But the content that site will provide is just too good to not be stoked for it. Like i won’t even thing about it before subscribing

I was worried about it setting a precedent too, but I think Disney is really the only studio large enough to pull it off. I think everyone else will just continue on with Amazon, Netflix or HBO.

Awwwwyeaahh Constable Zuvio series coming y’all... jk.

A lot of people make fun of fanfiction, but that is how women, poc, and the lgbtq community could insert their own perspectives (and kinks too, let’s be honest ha) into their favorite stories (Anakin and Padme stories from Padme’s perspective as like a basic example) and it’s why shipping is such a huge thing as well. I will say that in fairness, I think the story group has done an excellent job, but it would be nice to see more creators who aren’t white guys. As far as directors go, I hope Kathleen Kennedy has met with Ryan Coogler. My hype level for Black Panther is so high right now.
For Solo, I remember some interview that Kathleen Kennedy said it will be a western-heist film, with blues and yellows (some artist was the inspiration for the coloring) which is definitely what we got. Wonder when we will get a full trailer?

I said this elsewhere, but I just wanna see Ava DuVernay develop her own Star Wars story with her own cast of characters. Would be fantastic.

How much of actual GoT would these guys have had their hands in? I never got into the show. Is any of that awful rape stuff on them?

Of course GoT has an entire staff of writers so it’s hard to attribute anything specific to them but considering they’ve overseen the show for its whole run and the problems have been consistent, yeah it’s partially on them at the very least. Though the books are just as bad in that regard.
