Good point. It was probably just a teaser just like the last Jedi too. TLJ first full length trailer was out only 2 months from its release. We’re still almost 4 months out on this one. Ppl need to chill.

Also I can’t wait till this movie turns out to be one of the greatest movies ever made.

 

The teaser was over two minutes long and came out in April. That's a damn trailer in my eyes.

 

Touche. but as far as the titles go it was called a teaser and "trailer #1" came out October.

 

I went to that site, and now it just says "GMA LIVE STUDIO TAPING" only. Could be a short teaser during the game, then full trailer Monday?

haven't seen any news besides that it's supposedly set to film a year from now. They might wait and see how Solo does first though. Honestly a Kenobi movie is wanted way more than a Solo movie.

 

Totally, especially with all the negative stuff you hear about this movie. I thought the kenobi movie would be a shoe-in before all of the drama involving Solo came about. From what I've read it might take place between ROTS and ANH but we'll see.

 

that is what I heard as well and that's probably going to be the case. I wonder what the story is going to be and if Maul will be part of it.....

 

Why do you think he would be a part of it? Didn't they vanquish him several episodes before?

 

Im 99.9% sure Maul wouldnt be in it. Theyd have to either tell the story of what happened in Rebels exactly or totally ditch canon and either would piss off the majority of the fans

 

I'm gonna spoiler tag this..... Maul lives in canon + Clone wars Tv series and Star Wars Rebels. In the books he meets Obi Wan on Tattoine and fights him while nearly killing Obi Wan.

 

in the books it happens a little different, but yeah. I doubt they would use him again just because it already happened in rebels.

Just read up on that. It’s a 13 page comic which beyond happening on Tatooine has almost nothing else in common with how they did it on Rebels.

How it was handled in Rebels was perfect.

I doubt a Kenobi movie follows any book.

 

That's why I said it happened different in the book lol. Idk I want them to follow the Kenobi book. It's a pretty good story and makes alot of sense for what they would do as a movie.

 

They have taken some characters from the books, and there have been some similar plot points.... but they haven’t straight up used any of the same stories from the EU. Wouldn’t make any sense to suddenly do that now.

 

True I'm just saying I would love that story.
