There were articles from June/July that mentioned acting coaches and then one article from last month.
Right, which is why I'm curious as to his performance in other films. I liked him in Hail Caesar, but I've never seen him in anything else.
I’ve never seen him in anything else. If I even want to pretend for one minute that he is young Han Solo then I can’t watch his other performances until afternoon Solo.
Possible SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Footage Reaction Promises Plenty Of Fan-Service I couldn't imagine a Han Solo film being anything else.
I read Ehrenreich inquired about an acting coach because he didn't believe Miller/Lord were giving him the proper guidance that he wanted for this role, not necessarily because the studio was fearful. I don't ever know what to believe with this sort of news, and I can't judge the guy's chops since I've only seen him in Hail Caesar (and I thought he was charming in that role).
I think acting coaches are somewhat common on set, especially when someone is playing a particularly difficult accent/someone who is still alive/they're not incredibly seasoned
So Im listening to the How To Train Your Dragon Soundtrack. holy shit Im so excited for this score. Since I assume "the GOAT" Williams will be done after episode 9 I wonder if they are going to start getting different composers for different movies or start looking for one composer for something like Rian's new trilogy. If Powell's score is good he could be that guy.
Not expecting much but I'll check it out. I was never really a Han Solo mark but I'm sure the movie will be somewhat interesting. The bar is so low, I doubt it'll be dreadful.
I feel like actually seeing footage is the the only thing that could potentially get me excited about this movie.
This is absolutely the most unexcited I've been for a Star Wars movie, and I can't quite pinpoint why. I think I just can't get past the fact this movie feels ill-advised on multiple levels. Also, the lack of marketing/buildup on Disney's part seems so unprecedented and downright strange.
Makes perfect sense. It’s revisiting a character without the actor who embodied him or the man who created it. I think most of us want Disney to push the story forward rather than fill in the Lucas gaps.
