Black Panther comes out Feb 16th, so the teaser/trailer premiere during the Super Bowl makes sense as it will only be 10 days before they can place it in front of Black Panther. I would assume we will get a full trailer considering the movie comes out 3 months later.
Could just be the way the picture is positioned but it doesnt look like it has the 2 points in the front. Just one.
Just read an update in Slashfilm that the Solo art is not from Disney/Lucasfilm. Edit: “ Disney and Lucasfilm have confirmed to us that this art was not created by them for the movie and are not aware of its origins. We have added thoughts on its potential origins below.”
The Last Jedi had so many weird and crazy moments and a lot of laughs, I wonder how funny and comedic the film was becoming with Lord and Miller to get them fired for it.
Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are the only reason I'm still sort of interested in this. If Lord and Miller stayed, I would be full on hype. I would've been exponentially more happy with another Gambino album and a new season of Fleabag/Crashing coming sooner.
Yeah Glover is honestly the only reason I'm at all looking forward to this, I still think it's a bad idea for a movie
Agreed. If anything they shouldnt have lines and just appear far in the background following Bail organa or something.
He seemed to be the same size in Phantom menace. Not sure why he would be smaller only a couple years before ANH.
I know we will see Lando, I am hoping we see (even if briefly) Jabba, Boba Fett, and maybe even a younger Greedo!
I don’t really want to see all that. Absolutely no Fett. But if they wrote this similar to Rogue One, we will have “cameos” popping up everywhere. With where and when Rogue One was set most of them made sense. Theoretically this movie should have had far more options of where it takes place, so hopefully they went to new places and did new things. But probably not. I am preparing for Fett and Vader to be in this. Sigh.
that sounds right. Unless they do what they did with R1, and have the end of this movie tie right into ANH. If the last scene was Han & Chewie arriving in Mos Eisley where they meet Luke & Obi.
I didn't think the R2 shoehorn cameo was needed in RO, but now that it happened and he's in every movie.......I say keep it going lol. It can turn into like a Where's Waldo in every Star Wars movie.
It made sense to see him/3PO there though. It fit the timeline, the location, and the people involved.
Is there a canon storyline of what R2 and 3PO did between episodes 3 and 4? Assuming this storyline will happen in that timeframe as well, I am sure they could make them pop up somewhere just for a quick laugh.
Not anything specific for the whole time. But between Rebels and Leia:Princess of Alderaan, we know that they seem to have consistently served under Bail and did indeed serve under the Antilles in charge of the Tanitive IV.
Is this film still scheduled for a May release? That feels pretty soon considering we haven't had a trailer yet. Also, idk how I'd feel if 'Kira' (Emilia Clarke) and Han became love interests (just me speculating). Like, for the viewers, would that take away some of the relationship dynamic between Han and Leia?
