Haha yea. Overall, they made some very valid criticisms of the movie that I agree with, but they have definitely given it more hate than I feel it deserves.
For sure. I don't agree with a lot of it but as a huge comedy fan, I love their reviews. I want to see their Space Cop movie that they made.
Whats happening with this film validates every criticism of Rogue One. The new video just doubles down on it.
Even if I loved Rogue One (which, after watching it a 2nd time, I don't), I would almost be upset if they didn't trash it. It's just too much fun seeing them bag on Star Wars.
This might be completely erroneous but what makes them hating on Star Wars fun to watch is that it seems to be coming from a deep sense of love for both the series and movies in general. Regardless of whether or not I agree with them they consistently crack me.
Rogue One just barely edges out the prequels for me, honestly. Too much studio interference. Also I always found it incredibly odd that Disney interfered so heavily with Rogue One but not with The Force Awakens. Feel like they'd care a lot more about the mainline films than the side stories, and that would make them so nervous they'd interfere. But I didn't feel any interference with TFA, whereas I couldn't shake it off the entire time I was watching Rogue One. Also, I've since gone back to TFA multiple times and will leave it on if it's on HBO or whatever, whereas I have no real desire to sit through Rogue One again.
It's amazing that RO turned out as good as it did, given the production, but that doesn't mean it's great. Seeing it in theaters was awesome because of the "OMG it's Star Wars" factor, but the lack of attachment to the characters made it pretty hard to sit through a 2nd time.
Pretty much how I felt about it the second time through. I'm hoping I don't get Star Wars fatigue like I have for superhero movies.
John Powell to Score Untitled Han Solo Movie | StarWars.com "The untitled Han Solo movie will be scored in the style of the original Star Wars movies but retain Powell’s distinctive voice."
from the way it sounds, it sounds like the plan was never to cut him but because he can't make re-shoots they need to cut him entirely. bummer for sure though, he's great in everything i've seen him in.
“I felt great about what I created with the directors that I worked with” Damn, that is some shade he just threw out there haha.
A Lego catalogue may have leaked the title for the film. It's called Han Solo: A Star Wars Story. Shocking, I know.
