A Reven adaption would be really fun. Also, anything with ancient sith would be really cool too. As for Yavin era timelines, a Obi-Wan between ep 3-4 would be really fun.

But I think above all of those I'd love a between 3-4 Vader film.

IF that was the case why not just film the rest. Let Lord and Miller edit a rough cut. You hate? Take the reigns and make the solely scripted version.

 

Exactly. It doesn't make any sense, it's not like they weren't also shooting the exact lines from the script. They're just collaborating with their actors in the way they know how to (and in a way that has been proven to work several times over now in both theirs film and on television with The Last Man On Earth). I'm 100% certain that Lord and Miller's contract didn't give them final cut, I highly doubt any Marvel or Star Wars film gives that right to their directors.

 

Wonder Woman's wonderful boat scene between Diana and Steve was improvised. Han Solo's "I know" response to Leia was an ad-lib.

So Lord & Miller were shooting lines exactly as written anyway, in addition to the improvisational takes, I don't buy at all that's why they were fired or that they were really disrupting the process in any major ways. It likely just clashed with Kasdan and Kennedy's M.O. And that's nonsense about Lord & Miller not being able to handle a production this large. Sure it's probably the biggest movie they've ever done, but they directed four big mainstream studio movies with no issue. They're not out of their element.

 

The stuff about Ehrenreich could be the heart of the issue. If they felt that Lord & Miller weren't getting the right performance from him, that would be a major reason for concern.

 

Wouldn't any SW movie be the biggest movie that 99.999999% of directors have done?

 

Things are looking pretty bad.
