From Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, comes a series about a family of aliens trying to fit in on this human-infested crap-hole of a planet called Earth. Solar Opposites lands May 8, only on Hulu
Looks like you need to have a certain level of intelligence to appreciate it kidding obviously, looks good
Will definitely check it out. Never seen anything Roiland has done outside of R&M so not sure totally what to expect from him without Harmon. Looks pretty similar so far though lol
Only watched the first episode, but it was terrible. Pretty much exactly what you would think Rick and Morty would be without Harmon.
I guess this could be the American Dad! to Rick & Morty's Family Guy. Even if the first season isn't great it could find its own voice.
That would be nice. American Dad is far better than Family Guy. I’ll finish the season but I’m expecting it to be closer to The Cleveland Show in this analogy lol.
Yeah after the pilot I’d say I’m about here as well. Not much time to invest with only 8 episodes so I’m gonna power through and hope it gets better
Enjoyed the first episode. It definitely feels more “sitcom-y” than R&M, which makes sense considering this was originally pitched for Fox. And yeah I agree you can feel Harmon’s absence here, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Gives this show more of its own identity, I don’t want it to be just a rehash of R&M. Looking forward to watching the rest.
One episode to go. There have been a couple of good laughs in here but overall this really is just a heavily watered down Rick & Morty. Hard not to say fans of the real thing wouldn’t at least be entertained by it, but because they’re so similar it’s hard to not draw comparisons throughout each episode and see how much better this has already been done
This is pretty good, like a solid 7/10. Some hilarious stuff but some that kind of missed for me Definitely agree that the wall story is easily the most interesting part of the show
Finished this the other day. It's not amazing or anything, but I had fun with it and would watch another season. Agree with everyone that the Wall stuff was the best. I like the Jesse character. She reminds me a little of Louise from Bob's Burgers.
Watched the first two, maybe three episodes I don’t remember. It’s just as enjoyable so far and excited for more wall lore.
