    The problem with the spring lineup is that it was basically just Warped Tour.

    They added a third day. October 21-23.

    Wish I'd have known about this when the tickets were $40.

    I'm more apt to go with it being in Deep Ellum rather than outdoors in Frisco or wherever it was held in the Spring.

    Hopefully there's a Hawthorne Heights tour in there somewhere.

    Maybe a Citizen / Cruel Hand tour in here? Maybe with Capsize?

    Glad I didn't grab tickets to this during the blind presale. I'm not really into very many of these bands.

    I'm not familiar with a lot of them. I assumed they were locals.

    Some of them might be, but I'm from Dallas and I don't recognize most of them. May just be a lot of the smaller bands since it's just the first announcement.

    Ringworm seems bizarrely out of place here. Who the heck could they be touring with?

    EDIT: Ringworm/Cult Leader would make sense actually

    These festivals always have an exclusive I really want to see (acceptance) but the rest of the lineup is usually terrible. I count a handful of acts I'd go for but not enough to justify sitting through the rest

    Might consider going to the Hatebreed day if Ringworm and other heavy bands are also playing that day.

    I would attend all 3 days of this if I was closer. Vanna, Dance Gavin Dance, Hawthorne Heights, The Contortionist, Ringworm, Acceptance, Hail The Sun, To The Wind, Capsize, Polyphia, Citizen, and Cruel Hand sounds like a great time to me. Especially at 80 bucks for a 3 day pass.

    I wonder how this is gonna be set up. Are they gonna just have shows at various venues throughout Deep Ellum, or is it outdoors somewhere, or...

  20. Maybevictor

    @maybevictor Prestigious

    Based on how big the bands announced are so far I could imagine the majority of the bands or at least the "main stage" bands to play the Bomb Factory kind of like how Elm Street Tattoo Festival, maybe the rest of the bands will play the other venues like Club Dada / Trees / etc?

  21. suicidesaints

    Trusted Prestigious

    That's what I was thinking/hoping. I REALLY hope this is indoors at various venues. I didn't go to the Elm Street Tattoo Festival, but I really liked the idea of club hoping. Reminds me of the old Deep Fridays.

    Citzen is playing at Dada on 10/22. I think this will end up being like a scene version of South by South West.

    Oh, okay, cool. So it's probably gonna be how we were describing.

  24. Maybevictor

    @maybevictor Prestigious

    Elm street was interesting because people were getting tattooed on the balcony area as the show was going on and they way undersold it, probably less than 200 people total watching frank turner, you could walk right up to the barricade.

    My only problem with club hopping is the capacity of the individual clubs, you may have to get in to places like Dada / trees super early since they are bound to sell more tickets than the smallest participating venues can hold. It'd be pretty unfortunate to walk out of a venue without knowing if you'd be able to get into another one and end up having to go back to the main stage at the bomb factory if everything else is full

  25. suicidesaints

    Trusted Prestigious

    Yeah I guess that makes sense. Just depends on which bands are playing which venues and how well they'll draw. I don't think I want to see anyone that's super popular on this bill so it should work out okay for me.
