It was a bit awkward though feeling like maybe 5% of the audience got it. I kept thinking whoever wrote/got this greenlit from Lorne is a master of persuasion. I thought it was great though.
I think “overly passionate man wants to argue about very specific thing he is into” translates well without knowing the subject though.
My cousin, brother, father, and I all got into it this past Thanksgiving at the dinner table talking about Weezer's discography. Sent this clip to them.
Loved this. I am Matt Damon in this sketch "Pacific Daydream isn't even music!" "No offense, but burn in hell."
I'm actually not a huge fan of hers (I think she relies on yelling too often to add humor) but she was perfect for this. As a Weezer fan that's somewhere between these two (love everything up to Make Believe + The White Album), this sketch hit the perfect note.
