Speaking Terms is still the one I'm obsessed with haha. The guitars and vocal melodies are so fucking good.
I’m pretty well enamored with this record. Pristine might be my favorite, but there isn’t a bad or even mediocre song here.
They were great tonight but damn they have some shitty fans I never thought I’d feel the need to complain about people being too rowdy at a Snail Mail show
Recently discovered this. Really like it. Gonna be a great end of summer / transition into fall album for me.
Saw them in Leeds last night and they were great. It’s scary how talented she is at only 19 and I thought the whole band, particularly the drummer, did a great job of getting over the songs in a live environment. It wasn’t just a case of playing everything as it was on the record and they changed up a few things. The room was very respectful for a solo version of Anytime as a closer and you could really see her pouring her heart out. Then they came back out as a 3 piece to do a really fun cover of Closing Time by Semisonic. They looked like they were having a good time, which must be difficult given how intensively they’ve been touring this year all over the place.
When I met Lindsey after my show in July I commented on the rigorous touring schedule and she said "yeah, it's gross"
I saw Lindsey and crew again tonight. It’s absolutely insane how in about a year she went from selling out a 125 capacity venue in Chicago to selling out a 1,100 capacity venue. Her whole current tour is sold out I believe so I assume with her next record she will be playing 2,000+ rooms, which is insane!
Forgot to mention this but Lindsey played a new song called Light Blue on Saturday. She asked the crowd not to record it. It was gorgeous. She uses her falsetto on it in a way she hasn’t before. Also the show was ridiculously fun and she’s such a sweet person (I’m the Jbrekkie shirt)
