damn, I finally figured out it was Lindsay's vocals that I was reminded of when I listen to Cende. they've got really similar inflections for phrasing

Just saw that we’ll get a Snail Mail/Japanese Breakfast show in August. Sounds like a dream come true!

 

The song sounded a lot twangier live tbh. But this is my favorite Snail Mail song not called Thinning.

 

The other day I read that interview with her Liz Phair. I’d never listened to Snail Mail. The next day, a song came on Pandora at work and I thought it was a Liz Phair song I’d never heard. It was Snail Mail. I’m sold.

I was super bummed because I have a wedding the night they are coming, but now they are also playing Wicker Park Fest in July, so I'll be able to see them after all!
