We will see what happens. alot of people in the SP world are saying it's fake.
I have a feeling that Jake Bates(son of Peter Hook) will be doing bass. I've also read that D'arcy is in legal trouble or something.

Dude, you took my avatar! haha. I've had it since AbsolutePunk days. Totally thought you were me while I was browsing this thread, but then realized I haven't posted in here since before this recent studio time.

In regards to D'arcy, no one has even confirmed they're in the studio solely for SP. But, Jeff has been seen playing bass in recent posts with WPC and Jimmy. See below.

I wouldn't make you do that. It's just a funny coincidence! I love it, too. I even had people message me on here saying how cool it was that Billy was my avatar, haha. Siamese Dream era is my ultimate favourite.

Couple interesting things in here (Billy's not seriously sick, they're in the studio with Rick Rubin).

 

Am I understanding that post correctly that Smashing Pumpkins are in the studio with Rick, or just Billy for another solo album?

 

He says "we" and based on his, Jimmy's, and Jeff's other social media posts they're all in the studio together, so I think we can assume it's the whole band. Also from my understanding, their time in the studio so far has just been demoing, so this may be recording the actual album.

 

I just wanted Rotten Apples pressed on vinyl.

 

Yeah, It's an SP record for sure.
I saw something on Twitter with Matt Pinfield confirming that he sat down with BC and talked about a new Sp record they're working on.

 

Man, me too. I really want Zeitgeist on vinyl.

 

Zeitgeist holds a special place in my heart. I know it’s not their best material but I have a lot of nostalgia for it, and Jimmy’s drumming in incredible.
