My biggest complaint is that there just really is a lack of memorable melodies in a lot of these later releases so they just end up being unmemorable.
You're not allowed to say things suck when they suck. That said, I think AMM is pretty decent. Probably the only record since Oceania I'd bother listening to from beginning to end.
Might be going to see the band in October with my sister. We've been fans since we were pre-teens but neither of us have been to a show before. She wants to go "before Billy dies" but it'd be cool to have her visit and experience some hits and deep cuts live
Jimmy is an absolute machine on the kit, arguably the best past of seeing Pumpkins live if you get some songs where he lets loose (e.g. United States, Muzzle, Siva amongst the ones I’ve heard live. Would kill to see Silverfuck, Jellybelly, Fuck You)
I immensely regret not going to their 2023 summer tour. Getting Jellybelly and Hummer in the same setlist would’ve made me transcend
Just sounds like blue dot fever is gonna happen - just heard from a friend of a friend - obviously take with a grain of salt
I was wondering how it would sell here in Chicago since they’re playing lolla a few months prior and united center is massive. Doesn’t appear to be doing well unfortunately after a quick glance.
On the first real nostalgia tour in 2018 I ended up getting a pretty amazing seat for $100 week of, pretty sure face was around $250. I do suspect they are more popular now than then given what seems to be an influx of younger fans (and much greater enthusiasm for the genre now in general), but the combo of venue size and ticket price is just insane once again. It’s interesting to me Billy’s ego has him prefer to play empty giant arenas when he could probably charge $250 for 5000 cap rooms, do 2 night stands in the 5 or 6 most major cities, and sell out an entire tour.
I think many of us are in this same boat....I definitely want to go to this show....but for the cheapest price possible which will definitely be within a week of the show occurring
I'm honestly surprised that even with $55 and $65 ticket options in Brooklyn its still selling slowly. Especially with this being a Mellon Collie tour, which people have been asking for for decades. I think its a combination of not being promoted that well plus just overall concert fatigue.
had a really long week last week and James' songs are really hitting the spot right now, dude is so underrated. Blew Away is a peak Pumpkins track
