Jeff is a much better lead guitarist than James and I think Billy now writes 3-part guitar songs so, while it may not be essential, definitely beefs up their sound.
yeah my understanding was james only really plays the parts he recorded and otherwise just kinda does minimal rhythm stuff, whereas jeff has been their lead guitarist for like 15 years now
That would be so tight, but I guess it would all depend on his touring schedule this year with Pearl Jam. Or if he’s still filling in on guitar for Jane’s
This is the first time I have heard of and listened to Clumsy by Our Lady Peace and it sounded exactly like I thought it would.
They're one of my all time favorite bands honestly haha And Clumsy is the song that hooked me on them in the first place as an 11 year old kid in 1997.
I'd guess that it's less related to age, and that it was just a more ubiquitous song in the US and Canada than it was or has since been in the UK.
Spent a lot of time with their discography the past week. I vaguely remember songs from Siamese Dream playing on TV as a kid, so I consider Melon Collie as my intro to the band. I used to sneak into my sisters room and hijack her Melon Collie album and listen to it. Loved everything about it. Adore is still criminally underrated. Incredible album. and then there’s Machina….this album means so much to me. I have an emotional connection to this album. My mom took me to Kmart to buy the album. I think it’s their most beautiful album and it holds up front to back.
