what kinda pickups are these?

 

OriPure Alnico 5 Hotrails. I really wanted to try BC's signature set, but didn't want to spend $300. Did some research and these OriPure's came up and peaked my interest. Turned out to be decent quality parts too.

“Maybe the only alt-rock record still inspiring new bands” is patently false lol cmon

 

Why did they use the reissue cover?

 

Also they reviewed the reissue a decade ago and gave it a 10 lol what changed

 

It's Pitchfork. Pretension is their whole point.

 

I view it as the one of the most under-appreciated commercially successful alt-rock record lol.

 

I wish they did all their recordings with the same setup as Siamese Dream. Mostly tuned 1/2 a step down, big muff pedal, whatever chamberlain’s drum kit was, same mix. Inject that sound into my veins.

 

It is kinda crazy that the guy responsible for two of the best produced rock records of the 90’s hasn’t been able to make a good sounding record in like 20 years

 

has anyone 1. listened to Atum in full and 2. seen the band on their current tour?

 

couldn't make it more than 3 songs with Atum

i listened to zeitgeist today, it’s so good

 

haven’t seen the current tour but every time i’ve seen the band since jimmy and james rejoined it’s been awesome

 

I think I might go on Saturday here in Indy and I was just wondering how its been before I go through the trouble of finding a baby sitter haha

 

I’ve listened to Autum in full a couple of times, but now I keep it to an abbreviated 10 song playlist.
A shame that people gave up before Act III, I think some of the best songs are on there: That Which Animates the Spirit, Harmageddon and Lieu of Failure in particular.

I saw them in November with Jane’s Addiction and they were amazing. They still kill it live. Definitely go if you have the chance

 

Siamese Dream is all in standard with the exception of Geek USA and Mayonaise. MCIS is when they started tuning 1/2 step down down.

 

Billy really said “mayonnaise a lot of standard tuning on this thing”

 

Which ones were those? Were those 1/2 step?

Also, was Today in standard tuning also?
